Meet Taylor. She is a twenty-three-year-old bilateral below-knee amputee. She was born with "Club Feet" and had undergone several surgeries from the time she was an infant up to her teenage years. By the time she was sixteen, she could not stand or walk without enduring extreme pain in her feet. Eventually, the decision was made to amputate her feet, and between 2018 and 2019, she underwent bilateral amputation below the knees. Growing up, she always did her best to remain active in sports and participated in basketball, football, volleyball, and lacrosse. Since her amputations, she has remained athletic and participates in snowboarding, weight lifting, boxing, and pickleball. Unfortunately, the prosthetic legs she needs to continue pursuing her athletic endeavors cost thousands of dollars, and her medical insurance will not provide coverage. Fortunately, our organization has fantastic and generous donors, and we ultimately paid 100% of the cost of her running blades and gifted them to her. We are honored to be a part of her journey and can't wait to watch her thrive.
